OXBStudio is a multi-disciplinary architectural firm specializing in high-end custom residential projects. We look to develop a unique method of design for each client, whose desires, needs, beliefs and building sites are different from any other. We balance the client’s requirements with functionality, constructibility and the use of diverse materials to create spaces and forms which are stimulating, distinctive and appropriate.

Ted Bonneau grew up in Marin County. In 1996, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Arizona. After graduation, he returned to the San Francisco Bay area and spent his first three years focusing on health care design with projects at Children’s Hospital in Oakland and Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, among others. The remainder of the time he has spent focusing on custom residential design, working for the high quality San Francisco firms of Aleck Wilson Architects and Mark Brand Architecture. He became a California licensed Architect in January 2007 and currently resides in Mill Valley with his wife and two sons.

Chad Stith grew up in Orange County. In 1996, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Arizona. After graduation, he returned to Orange County and spent his first five years focusing on custom residential, commercial and hospitality design with firms South Coast Architects, LPA Inc, and Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo. He moved to San Francisco in 2001 and has worked for the high quality San Francisco firms of HKIT Architects, Ian Birchall and Associates, Aleck Wilson Architects, MKThink and Project Frog. Throughout this time, he has also been a design consultant for Rauhaus Freedenfeld Architects, with a focus on Veterinary Hospital design. He currently resides in San Francisco. email:

Diarro grew up in Los Angeles. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 1997 from UC Berkeley. He has worked in Northern and Southern California for a number of successful firms. He gained hotel design experience working for SOM in San Francisco and multifamily residential design experience working for Killefer Flammang Architects in Santa Monica. His most recent work, with Hood Thomas Architects and Mark Brand Architecture, has been with a focus on custom homes and major remodels. He currently resides in Richmond with his family of 3.

Bryan Davis grew up in North Carolina. He spent a few years owning and operating several burger restaurants before going back to school to finish his degrees. In 2010 he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Economics from North Carolina State University. A few years later he went back to graduate school, earning a Master of Architecture from NC State in 2016. After graduating, he promptly packed his belongings and headed west to San Francisco with his wife Melissa (also an architect), and their dog and cat. In his free time, Bryan enjoys volunteering as a member of the Council on Architecture at the Oakland Museum of California, meandering through the various art institutions in the area, and exploring the California landscape with sketchbook in hand.
