OXBStudio is a multi-disciplinary architectural firm specializing in high-end custom residential projects. We look to develop a unique method of design for each client, whose desires, needs, beliefs and building sites are different from any other. We balance the client’s requirements with functionality, constructibility and the use of diverse materials to create spaces and forms which are stimulating, distinctive and appropriate.

Ted grew up in Marin County, moving frequently in his childhood from Mill Valley to Ross, San Anselmo, Novato and Terra Linda where he attended high school. He studied Architecture at the University of Arizona and returned to live in San Francisco following graduation. He spent his first three years focusing on health care design with projects at Children’s Hospital in Oakland and Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley, among others. The remainder of the time he has spent focusing on custom residential design, working for the San Francisco firms of Aleck Wilson Architects and Mark Brand Architecture, then founding OXBSTUDIO Architects in 2006.
He currently resides in Mill Valley with his wife and two sons (both of whom work in construction). Outside of work, Ted’s interests mostly revolve around spending time with his family, walking with the dog at Stinson or on Mt Tam, yelling at the TV when the Giants, 49ers or Warriors are on, and occasionally floundering at the gym.
Chad grew up and attended high school in Orange County, CA, spending most of his free time at the beach surfing. He studied Architecture at the University of Arizona and returned to live in Orange County following graduation. He spent his first five years focusing on custom residential, commercial and hospitality design with firms South Coast Architects, LPA, Inc. and Wimberly Allison Tong and Goo. He moved to San Francisco in 2001 and has worked with firms HKIT, Ian Birchall & Associates, Aleck Wilson Architects, MKThink and Project Frog.
Outside of work, Chad’s interests include spending time with his family, golf, skiing, patio dining, Hair Nation on XM radio, frequent visits to the wine country and keeping up with his two young boys. He currently resides in Mill Valley with his wife and two sons.
